Mate is a ritual with rules, and an hour with someone who grew up on it saves a lot of guessing. These 4 sessions are priced and honest about how much is tasting and how much is history.
Spend two Saturday hours in an old-style Almagro mansion with Johana Copes and her dance team. You’ll take a relaxed beginner tango class, taste mate, enjoy sweets, and practice with teachers and international classmates. English, Portuguese, and Spanish instruction is available.

Spend 90 minutes with Tomi learning how yerba mate is grown, prepared, shared, and enjoyed in Argentina. You’ll taste several traditional and flavored blends, try Argentine sweets, learn about mate cups and bombillas, and receive a diploma at the end. The workshop runs in English and Spanish.

Spend three hours with Jazmin of La Flor Artista learning mate customs, tasting facturas and alfajorcitos, then painting a wooden mate cup to take home. Small groups, clear English, and a relaxed atelier setting make this a hands-on introduction to Argentine food and culture.
